Childrens festival 2018 – 2019

Im always happy to contribute to childrens events so when i was asked to participate by organisers, I was excited to get involved.

The Purapura festival runs every year and is jam packed with activities for our tamariki to participate in.

I try to create visuals at this event that reflect the energy, identity and people of Whangaroa.

The creative process involves firstly coming up with a relevant visual ideas. Then transferring that chosen image onto plyboard in black vivid for the tamariki to paint in at the festival. This is what we call live art.
