These designs are intended to discourage the dumping of rubbish in targeted hotspots of Whangaroa that experince this frequently.

The locations identified are:

The Pupuke/Mangapa Junction – in very close proximity to ancestral awa. This is on state highway 10.

The Weber Rd junction – in very close proximity to ancestral harbour. This is on state higway 10.

The Waiare Rd junction – in very close proximity to ancestral awa. This is on state highway 10.

Whangaroa Rd, rest stop – in very close proximity to ancestral harbor. Main road to Whangaroa village.
